As part of the effort to provide members with a holistic understanding of consumer attitudes, uses and shopping behaviors, IFPA (formerly PMA) commissioned Information Resources Inc., (IRI) to field a custom survey to the National Consumer Panel. Using the National Consumer Panel, IRI identified the top-selling fruits and vegetables in a 12-week period using Total U.S. All Outlet geography. From this list, the top 15 fruits/vegetables were used in the survey of known buyers of these produce items in January and July 2021. The survey results were combined with known purchasing metrics to provide this overview of the top selected fruits and vegetables.
