IFPA has collaborated with our sponsor, the California Leafy Greens Marketing Association, to share the story of continual improvement, collaboration, and harnessing of data with the breadth of the produce industry. In 2017, the LGMA’s 10th anniversary, a review was conducted of the program’s food safety standards. The review confirmed the LGMA’s food safety standards reflected the best practices for the growing and harvesting of leafy greens in California. But a series of outbreaks, starting in 2018, caused the organization and its members to reassess those very practices. Join us for this Virtual Town Hall to review what has changed since 2018, other changes that are coming in the future, and how the leafy greens industry continues to leverage advances in science and technology.
