As we reflect on last week’s Floral Conference in Miami, one thing stands out above all else: the incredible energy of this industry.
The passion, creativity, and vibrant spirit of the floral community were felt throughout every hallway conversation, educational session, and networking event. There was a genuine sense of momentum this year — not only around the opportunities ahead for floral, but around the willingness of this industry to come together, collaborate, and continue moving forward together.
One of the biggest takeaways from the week was the strength of the networking and the quality of the conversations happening across the event. The attendees embraced the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and share perspectives across every part of the supply chain. It was especially exciting to see the return of buyer roundtables, which created valuable opportunities for retailers and suppliers to exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships, and openly discuss both opportunities and challenges facing the industry today.
The education sessions also brought tremendous value to the conference, covering a wide variety of timely topics impacting floral at a high level — from consumer behavior and market dynamics to trends, operations, and the future of the category. There was particularly strong energy surrounding the consumer panel, which sparked thoughtful conversations around evolving shopper expectations and what floral businesses are seeing in today’s marketplace.
The Breeder Showcase was another highlight of the week, featuring exciting innovations and some of the latest floral varieties shaping the future of the category. From new genetics to emerging trends and consumer-inspired ideas, the showcase reflected both the creativity and forward-thinking mindset that continue to define floral.
And while Mother’s Day is now behind us, the season once again reinforced just how meaningful floral remains in consumers’ lives. Even amid evolving purchasing behaviors and ongoing cost pressures, flowers continue to help consumers celebrate, connect, and mark life’s most important moments. We’ll share additional insights and reflections from the Mother’s Day season later in this newsletter.
Most importantly, Miami was a reminder of the strength of this community. The floral industry continues to show up for one another — sharing ideas, supporting innovation, and building connections that move the industry forward. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this year’s conference such a success. We are grateful for the community we continue to build together and excited for everything ahead.
