The International Fresh Produce Association Australia and New Zealand (IFPA ANZ) has appointed a seasoned government relations and communications specialist to lead its corporate affairs, policy and advocacy efforts.
Jo Crawford-Wynd joins IFPA ANZ in August as Corporate Affairs and Policy Manager, bringing a strong track record in advocacy, policy and stakeholder engagement across government, not-for-profit and corporate sectors.
Jo has previously worked with the former Federal Minister for Agriculture and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development. Most recently, she led government relations at Bravery Trust, where she worked alongside the Deputy Prime Minister and the Governor-General advocating through the Defence and Veterans Royal Commission.

Her background also includes partnerships with major stakeholders including Coles and the AFL on public-facing initiatives with broad social impact.
Based in Gippsland and deeply connected to the agricultural sector, Jo is passionate about supporting growers and firmly believes in the role of fresh produce in preventative health.
In her new role, Jo will lead IFPA’s corporate affairs and advocacy strategy. This will include deep engagement with government and media helping shape member needs and industry priorities.
She will translate complex issues and legislative and regulatory developments into actionable insights for IFPA ANZ members and help shape submissions, briefings and policy positions that reflect the sector’s voice.
Jo will also work closely with IFPA’s global colleagues to expand global advocacy, ensuring the organisation's advocacy is regionally responsive whilst delivering global impact.
IFPA managing director ANZ Belinda Wilson said Jo’s experience and expertise would strengthen the organisation’s ability to advocate for the fresh produce and floral sector and deliver meaningful outcomes for members.
“Jo’s advocacy and policy experience and her genuine passion for the industry make her a fantastic fit for our team,” she said.
“She brings a powerful mix of insight, connection and drive to ensure fresh produce is front and centre in policy conversations and public dialogue.”
