CVD Prevention: Ensure the EU's Safe Hearts Plan recognizes low fruit & veg consumption as a key modifiable risk factor.
FOP Labelling: Advocate for a mandatory, harmonized Front-of-Pack scheme that is fair to fresh/minimally processed foods.
Public Procurement: Mobilize public food environments to include minimum shares of fresh produce.
Affordability: Support reduced VAT rates and fiscal measures to lower the price barrier.

TRADE & MARKET ACCESS

Shielding from Disputes: Keep fresh fruits, vegetables, and florals out of retaliatory measures (EU-US) and avoid collateral damage.

MRLs & Food Safety: Support Maximum Residue Limit frameworks that remain risk-proportionate and harmonized internationally (Codex).
